AIO

The All in One (AIO) is a true all in one in a sense that the absorbent part of the nappy is attached to the front and the back of the nappy. There is no need to fold or separate the nappy, just put it on the baby.

How does is it different from the similar nappies on the market? Well, to start with it is a handmade item and a lot of love and care has gone into producing this high quality item. I designed it to deal with my little one who has recently become quite a challenge to convince to change into a dry nappy. She would scream and complain if I laid her on her back and would roll over as soon as I get a nappy off. So the idea to create something which still looks like the “standard” cloth nappy and could go on like an underwear was born. The nappy itself looks very much like my original LOSFM AI2 (well, I used the same pattern as a basis) but the front and back elastics are a lot longer, which not only converts them to pull on style but also makes them a little smaller on the waist (do not worry, it will still fit the larger babies as the elastic is quite gentle and there are all those extra snaps on the waist).

I have reduced the waist snaps to a single row in order to allow for extended elastics and to reduce the digging into the thighs for bigger babies.
The absorbent part is made of cotton and bamboo with the top layer made of cotton velour which acts as a semi stay dry layer but also lets the little one to know that they may need a change (a perfect solution when you are in a process to potty train your little bundle of joy).
What is the purpose of the frilly edge of the insert, I hear you ask? It is to make you love your nappy even more and beside the aesthetics it also helps to reduce sock marks. Win - win, really!

I have tested the absorbency on the nappy and while I am content that it is quite absorbent as is, you can easily boost it with any booster you may have or with one made by myself (available separately) by simply placing it between the insert and the wrap. Oh, what’s even better, you do not need to “unstuff” the nappy once it comes off the bum. Just place it in your nappy pail or straight into the washing machine and it will be dislodged from the nappy during the prewash.

Did I tell you that is a pull up nappy?! I probably did but I thought I would emphasise it here too. You can pull it up and down. Why? Well, if you are potty training you would know how frustrating it can be to get all those buttons undone before the baby decides to wet or soil it. And then the challenge of getting it back on if it is dry can be just as, ehmmm... nerve testing. By being a pull up even the elimination communication can be more fun!

If the pull up is not your style, then there is nothing to worry about - it will still work as your other cloth nappies!
